LOBITOS,

PERU

It’s hard to define Lobitos, some call it a paradise, a ghost town, an oasis; whatever you call it, it is certainly off the beaten path.

What we can say is Lobitos is built on a tight-knit community, with world class surfing and an incredibly talented, unknown art scene. Most people find their way here by word of mouth, creating a natural filter for more conscientious travelers. Largely off the radar of mass tourism, it is deeply connected to grassroots NGOs and environmentalist groups. The balance between the old and inspirational is in total equilibrium, with a warm and welcoming door that opens for global visitors who honor the local balance.

WHERE YOU'LL STAY

Family-run Buena Vista was one of the first hotels in Lobitos. Owners Claudia and Augusto Correa still call it home and that's exactly what it feels like during your stay. They have poured their heart and soul into every detail; from the lush fruit garden, to private pool, Indonesian-inspired decor and breathtaking views from the Mirador (look out point), no detail is unaccounted for. Proud parents of Alonso Correa, who placed 4th in Men's Surfing at the Paris Olympics, the Correa's are not only a pillar of the Lobitos community, they are recognized across Peru as national treasures.

ON THE MENU

In 2023, for the third consecutive year, Peru won “Best Gastronomic Destination” in the world by The World Travel Awards (WTA). In the North, some of the best ceviche and Lomo Saltado are served up in local, unmarked restaurants and more vibey, well-known hot spots.

We'll have daily breakfast at the hotel, with a mix of fresh fruit, oats, eggs, bread, freshly made juice and coffee. Healthy snacks are available throughout the day and we'll get together for 3 group dinners, but the rest of the week will be yours to discover.
